Find a Psychologist

How To Find a Psychologist Who Meets Your Needs

We understand that the process of finding a psychologist can be challenging.

Location and proximity can be important in accessing regular therapy. It is equally important to consider the therapeutic fit of the therapist to your needs.

To find a psychologist that is suitable therapeutically is a highly individual process that can take time and reflection.

For many clients, they may be on an explorative arc of their journey and undertaking a non-medical approach to improving their emotional wellbeing.  Improvement of functioning, making meaning, exploring and understanding of their human and emotional experience are common goals for engagement in psychological therapies.

For some, having diagnosis and specific treatment may be helpful in explaining their experiences and finding suitable evidenced-based treatments.

If you have an existing treatment team such as your General Practitioner (GP) and/or Psychiatrist, they may have suggestions in regards to treatment modality and specific approaches to be considered with your psychologist.

You are welcome to discuss your individual needs and goals with our Client Support Team by contacting us here to help you find a suitable psychologist.
