About
Anny is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar, who completed her training at the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle. She has a background working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across public and private mental health settings, including hospital inpatient services, headspace, and private practice.
Anny is a warm, gentle, and empathetic clinician who aims to create a safe and friendly space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. She works at each client’s pace, encourages feedback, and takes a strength-based, non-judgmental approach to help clients feel empowered as they make sense of their experiences.
Anny believes that our psychological and emotional struggles make sense when we understand them in the context of a person’s relationships, past experiences, environment, and the expectations placed on them. Her therapy aims to help clients unpack and make sense of their struggles, as well as understand the patterns and coping strategies they developed along the way.
Using a strength-based approach, Anny supports clients in building helpful and sustainable ways of managing challenges and navigating life. She also enjoys offering practical strategies that clients can use in their everyday life, while also remaining flexible and attuned to the needs of each client.
Anny is interested in working with individuals presenting with a range of conditions, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotion regulation difficulties, body image concerns, school- or family-related concerns, relationship problems, work and study stress, panic disorder, phobias, and neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism etc). Anny also has experience facilitating DBT group programs in hospital settings, with a focus on topics such as managing emotional distress and mindfulness skills.
