Our Services For Clinicians

Inner Eastern Psychology is an inclusive private practice based in three locations across Richmond and Hawthorn.  Our practice is guided by the values of compassion, integrity, authenticity and inclusivity.

The practice offers independent clinicians a flexible, supportive and autonomous working environment to provide psychological therapy.  We offer a true non-restrictive (facilities provision) agreement, and value clinical work and the importance of flexibility in caseload and work hours. There is a stable stream of referrals.  We have sound and established administrative support as well as an efficient practice management program.  The practice rooms are calm and welcoming spaces with natural lighting.  There is an abundance of public transport options, shops, eateries and cafes nearby.

Regular peer supervision, coaching, mentoring and professional development seminars are available as part of the service provided.

Our Practice Director, Yuedda Sio, is a Clinical Psychologist and a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, who strives to be attuned to the needs of clinicians.  She wants to develop long-term, collaborative relationships that are sustainable from emotional, ethical and professional perspectives.  Yuedda has worked with a range of clinicians at different stages of their careers. In addition to providing individual and group supervision, she is always available for support and guidance when needed.

The team’s thoughts on Inner Eastern Psychology:

“I have worked at Inner Eastern Psychology since mid 2018, and have enjoyed my time here immensely. I have loved working in this team, and have greatly appreciated the support and advice provided by the practice director, Yuedda Sio. Yuedda is very professional and efficient, but I have been particularly impressed by the way she prioritises the needs of clinicians (and their clients) over other business objectives. I look forward to continuing to work in this great team!”
- Tim Bramley, Clinical Psychologist

“Starting private practice can be daunting! I’ve heard some horror stories about crammed case-loads, little support and quick burn out. This is not the case with Inner Eastern Psychology. Yuedda as a clinic director makes you feel incredibly supported, while also empowering you to work out your own groove in private practice. There are regular peer consultations, team trainings and PD’s, & 1:1 supervision opportunities. The team of psychologists are authentic, skilled and fun to learn from. The bowl of snacks in the kitchen is always full and Yuedda is extremely accommodating to plants/furniture/general aesthetic needs in the rooms.”
- Sophie Clement, Senior Clinical Psychologist

“Working at Inner Eastern Psychology has been extremely rewarding. Yuedda is a very supportive and understanding director who has been there to guide me every step of the way. I would highly recommend working with Inner Eastern Psychology to any early career or experienced psychologist looking to advance their clinical skills in private practice.”

“Yuedda’s attentiveness and genuine interest in the wellbeing and development of each team member, the efficiency and reliability of the administrative staff, and the lovely group of people that constitute the team and create its wonderful culture are all reasons why I do genuinely feel “right at home” here.”
- Rochelle Salita, Clinical Psychologist

“As a psychologist who has worked in the public sector and several private practice settings, I have been impressed with the workplace environment at Inner Eastern Psychology. It is highly supportive, with great care and consideration given to psychologists' needs, high quality admin support, and a wonderful team of psychologists who provide helpful peer supervision. If you are considering working in private practice, I highly recommend Inner Eastern Psychology.”
- Dr Natasha Rogers, Senior Clinical Psychologist

It’s been a great honour and pleasure working within the professional and caring culture of IEP. I appreciate Yuedda’s collaborative and respectful approach in working with me to maintain a caseload that takes into consideration of my professional well-being and my interests, while at the same time ensuring the best care for our clients. This authentic approach is well reflected amongst the IEP team as well as between the psychologists and the clients.”
