About
Cam is a registered psychologist and member of AAPi, with experience across private practice, public mental health, the alcohol and drugs sector, and not-for-profit settings. She has experience with supporting adolescents and adults in both individual and group contexts, treating concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma, addiction, emotional dysregulation, relationship and attachment challenges, self-criticism, perfectionism, life transitions, grief and loss, and confidence.
Cam offers a warm, collaborative space to slow down, reconnect with oneself, and explore the intricate stories of the inner world. She works from a place of genuine partnership, believing that each person is the expert in their own life, and walks alongside them with curiosity and deep respect for their narrative. Influenced by her enjoyment of philosophical pondering, poetry and comedy, her style is thoughtful and reflective, while still allowing space for lightness and humour.
Cam is committed to providing affirming, non-pathologising care for CALD, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals. She welcomes diverse relationship structures, including non-monogamy, kink, and sex work, and brings a non-assumptive, culturally aware lens to conversations around attachment and sexuality.
She is particularly drawn to longer-term, depth-oriented work, supporting individuals to understand and shift enduring patterns, and to reconnect with the body through somatic awareness.
Therapeutic Approaches
Cam utilises a person-centred approach, meeting individuals where they are to support a grounded, authentic, and healthy sense of self.
Her work is informed by trauma-, systems-, and attachment- based perspectives, and she is attuned to the role of language and the body in shaping how people come to understand themselves. She considers the broader contexts of people’s lives, including social and cultural influences and inherited narratives, and supports individuals to gently question and reshape what no longer fits.
Cam uses an eclectic approach that draws on:
Trauma-focused CBT
Narrative Therapy
Somatic-informed principles
Gottman-informed principles
Languages
Cam is a second-generation Vietnamese Australian and speaks conversational Vietnamese (though she does not offer therapy exclusively in Vietnamese).
